I was driving to my home at the time in Covington from my now fiancee's house at that time in Slidell. I was listening to a Robert Johnson record and smoking cigarettes to pass the time while driving. My sunroof in my car was open and I remember looking up through it and blowing smoke through the sunroof. As I was looking out of the sunroof I passed underneath an overpass and just as I could see the sky, a bright light appeared instantly and I felt a strange rush of energy in my body. I don't remember what color the light was because multiple colors followed. A series of lights appeared one by one and then together. Each time they grew brighter and more colorful. I even remember thinking that I had never seen some of the colors that were appearing and I could not look away. My eyes were stuck on it. Then, a large ball of white/off-white light appeared and stayed for a minute or so and vanished.I am not sure, but they seemed rather close, maybe 30 feet or so above the car. I did'nt see a craft bit I felt like something was there. The air became really heavy and I had the feeling that something was there other than bright lights.Afterwards, my ears were buzzing and I realized that my car was stopped on the side of the interstate. Oddly, it was still in drive but not moving. I felt a strange mixture of fear, peace, and amazement. I sat for a while to collect my thoughts and called my fiancee to tell her what had happened. She did'nt believe me and this upset me because what I was feeling was so strong and tangible. I pressed the gas pedal and my car began moving with no trouble and went home. It was extremely difficult to sleep that night. I was so excited about my sighting and the fact that it was such an intense one at that.
