Rocket sound wooshes past me at a tremendous speed only about 5 ft off the groundAt 6:25 pm I was just finishing washing my car. I had pressure nozzle on the hose for a strong stream of water. I heard something but I thought it was probably the nozzle making the noise. Something caught the corner of my eye and jerked my head to the left which was north in direction. I turned of the water and the noise was still there but I couldn't see anything. The sound was like a rocket going a tremendous speed but low to the grow. I looked for an object and I saw the neighbor that lives across the street from me about 50 ft away from me coming from the north. By the sound of this thing I thought it was going to hit her and I started to shout out to her, but before I could she stopped suddenly jerked her head to the right and stepped back. The sound waS TRAVELING WEST TO EAST. She yelled over to me and asked if I had seen anything, I told her I wasn't sure but that I certainly heard it. She said what was it and where did it go? She said that she though! t it was going to hit her and she hurried up her driveway and into the house. I stood there shaking like a leaf. The whole thing had happened in approximately 5 seconds and it was gone. At the sppeed it was going it should have hit the house across the street or the neighbor standing in the street. In a distance of 60 ft the sound stopped and whatever it was was gone. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen or heard of and I wasn't sure who I should report it to, but I was so frightened by the event I had to report it to someone. I haven't talked to the neighbor today but the way she hurried to get back in her house, I knew she was upset. Every word I have typed is true .
