we were waiting for fireworks over Lake Union in Seattle. We were on Queen Anne Hill, west of the lake. I saw three distinct orange orbs appear out of nowhere, SE of the lake, form a triangle , hover, then form a line..they moved to the right (S) behind a tree then emerged in a line then one was just gone, then the other two disappeared. There were choppers and airplanes around, but not close to the orbs, and these were completely different. no sound, and moved crisply when they changed direction.. They just disappeared.I told my friend, those are ufo's and he laughed at me but I knew this was something I hadn't seen before. they didn't belong there. I knew I was seeing something strange. I was excited and kind of scared. I was a student pilot some years ago, learned to fly and land a plane. I know what planes are. They just did not behave like a chopper or plane and anyway, they were bright orange and very fast in the way they changed direction, going from a triangular formation, hovered for maybe 40 seconds, formed a line then, boom one was gone, then the other two.These were not conventional aircraft and they weren't fireworks. Fireworks don't hover, change direction, line up in formation, move slowly across the sky, then disappear. Someone said maybe drones, but really? That big, bright, and doing maneuvers? What did I see?
