I was outside conversing with a friend when we noticed two small pulsating/flickering orbs with organic characteristics appear in the sky behind tree cover. Upon further inspection, these two were followed by a grouping of three more orbs, then four more, with an estimated 4-8 more of varying groupings following behind the original 'convoy'. These orbs were flying over a regional airport coming in from the south with no sound whatsoever. They made a directional fly in from the south (long island sound), flying northeast, then finally diagonally up out of the atmosphere until they were too high to observe (imagine an elongated check mark trajectory) It appeared that these objects changed course and then exited the atmosphere. These objects appeared to have no discernible surface, however showed an organic quality much like a distant flame hovering through the skies, instead of an apparent source of the light they were giving off. The shapes were spherical in nature, but again were not very detailed at all, again having a very organic flame-like nature.This sighting was also observed by a motorist who promptly stopped at the midway point of the sighting. We all agreed that these looked too odd to be planes.Being that this was a small regional airport, roughly five minutes before the sighting, a helicopter (unknown size/markings) took off to the southeast. It's very common to observe air traffic in this area.
