It was about 11pm on Friday, 7/31/15, I was at my house and I opened the front door to let my boyfriend in. Immediately he began shouting for me to come outside, not thinking anything of it I stepped out the front door and looked up to where he was pointing. Directly south of my doorstep about 20 miles away, I very clearly witnessed an object that at first I thought was a plane on fire, about to crash in our direction. It was descending incredibly fast, there was a bright orange-red glow to it that seemed to grow as it descended. It seemed as though the light being emitted was almost a plasma type substance - it truly looked as though it was on fire, but then it began to dim down and started to look more like an artificial light. About what looked to be a mile or two above the horizon, the object stopped descending and began to perform multiple directional changes including both back and forth from east to west and straight up and down. At this point I was relieved that it no longer appeared to be a plane crashing, but I was still terrified because I knew it was a UFO. From the door I leaned my head in and yelled for my parents, waking them up, they came outside and got to witness at least 15 - 20 seconds of the experience. Once they were outside it was still moving in different directions, the lights then began lowering in intensity and the object started to ascend to the southeast. In 1 or 2 seconds it flew away and we didn't see any other activity for about an hour, then we gave up. Total duration of sighting: 1 - 2 minutes
