Unsure of the exact date, but 4 of us children were walking East on Highway 2 in town. It was a clear night after a light snow, late fall or early winter. A large black perfect circle crossed the sky silently with red flame radiating from the outer edges. It passed from South to North in an arc and went out of sight past the mountains to the north. I remember reading in the Libby MT, paper that others had seen it from the East and it was supposedly a Russian rocket booster. I highly doubt it was, the circle was far too large to be the cross section of a rocket, and that would not produce the unwavering deep red flame we radiating from it that was not affected by the air, there would be a trail.
