I went to the Lincoln memorial to take night time pictures. While standing close to the reflection pool, I took 2 long exposure pictures of the Washington monument. I did not hear any sounds or notice any lights. When I got home and was reviewing the pictures, I noticed one of them had these strange lights near the monument. I am a amateur photographer and have taken hundreds of night time shots. I know what airplane and satellite trails look like. This is not one of those. The picture is a 30 second exposure so the lights did not move or barely moved while taking the picture. There is some dust specks in the shot as evident by the blue and yellow specks. This is normal for long exposure shots. The first shot was taken 1 minute before the second shot. there are no signs of the lights in the first shot. there are 4 lights with something blurry on each end. The small dot in the middle may be a speck of dust that was captured. I have no clue what it is nor am I insinuating it is of alien nature. Just strange and thought you might take a look. File one is the first shot with nothing strange in it, file two is the second shot with the lights, file 3 is a crop of file 2. I have not altered the photos in any way other than to crop the second shot (3rd file). these are straight from the camera. These photos were taken with a cannon 6D with a 24-105 MM lens. Note, the file will say 2150. this is central time which is what my camera clock is set at. the actual time would be 2250 eastern time.
