Was sitting on patio around 8:45. My bulldog was out with me and acting really weird, running back and forth from patio door to patio door. The I looked up and saw this bright glowing amber light traveling from west to east. I travel a lot, have worked in aerospace industry for 16 plus years and know landing lights. We have 2 airports, Page Field, a private airport in Fort Myers and SWFL International. I see aircraft coming and going everyday and know them, this had no sound. It also came to a stop before turning sharply and heading southeast. G force alone would be unbearable for a human. Also the craft wasn't in any usual flight path for either airport. Once the craft was out of sight, and that took just seconds, there was a commercial aircraft flying several thousand feet above heading into SWFL International, no landing lights yet. None of the aircraft have landing lights on at the point I saw this. My fiancée also witnessed it.We have seen other craft similar in the past and my son took a picture of one several months ago around midnight in the west.I can't say what it was but know it wasn't an aircraft, ball lightning, weather balloon or swamp gas. (yes I'm being fastidious but this is not my first experience).I thought it was fantastic and know it upset my dog.
