On July 3rd, 2016 it was late at night about 10:45. I had to grab some tools from our new place to break down a table bc we were moving and needing to get it downstairs to throw out. On my way back just about after the bridge near the inlet of onondaga lake I saw this really bright large white orb that flashed at once - at first I thought it may have been a helicopter strobe light. However, when I started to get closer to the highway entrance at the end of Henry Clay Blvd that loops around back to syracuse I was able to see it very vividly upclose while trying to drive safe and look at in in the car. It was quite large dark black/grey triangle object floating above the trees. It's profile was sleek and width of structure was suitable for movement throughout the inside of the craft. It had 3 distinctive large white lights on each corner of the triangle that appeared to be some type of propulsion balancing system and in the center of the triange was a pulsating red light which appeared to be its power source in the center of the ufo. it also had some couple small white flashing lights as well. It was floating there for a while till I entered the highway just passed the loop and as I continued to drive on the highway it was floating over the highway in a path toward the northeast direction of Syracuse. The map depicts the direction. It disappeared once it got to a certain point in the darkness.I was definitely close enough to know it definitely was a UFO and not a man made craft. It was very surreal experience! I wish I was in a good place to take a picture but then again I was distracted by this marvel that I didn't think to try to stop somewhere safe to capture it.
