Standing in the salisbury big stop parking lot looking east i saw a complete circular/spherical red glowing orb. it was around 21:20 and pitch dark out, i was not familiar with the area so i shrugged it off and disregarded it as a strange lunar eclipse of sorts, or a local building. entered the big stop to buy some drinks and use the washroom and i came out (21:28) to see the object has decended slightly (eventually losing sight of it after about 5 minutes) and has gone from a circle to a half moon shape. at this point i took a photo with an iphone 7 camera with a bit of zoom. later i went on to google maps to see that there was no local features that could have blocked the light and caused the change of the objects light. unfortunately i was unable to estimate the size or distance of the object, but i would roughly estimate it was at least 1km away. didn't alert any of my coworkers to it so i know of no other witnesses. never seen anything like this in my life, the more i think of it the stranger it is. attached is a photo of the object as a semi-circle and the area i spotted it over on google maps
