For over four years my exercise routine has involved early morning walks well before sunrise. this morning i saw what i initially thought was a satellite crossing the southern sky headed generally ese. i continued to watch it and noticed another had appeared on the same track and heading as the other. they were very far away. there was no sound, flashing lights, or contrails. they were simply spots of light that moved slowly across the sky, just like a satellite. i figure there were many miles between them. i thought 2 satellites were odd, but a third appeared, again on the same track and heading. they also appeared to be the same distance apart. i continued to walk and watch. i counted 18 in a row, all the same. they stopped coming, but a minute or so later 5 more came along at the same speed, distance apart, etc. the first of the 5 was not on the same track as the others, but the heading appeared the same. this group moved on and the one more came along by itself. in my mind the most likely scenario is a group of military aircraft. perhaps they didn't want to fly in a closer formation which could generate even more reports like this. this was odd enough that i figure i should let you know.
