The night sky was clear of any clouds but it was a very bright night despite the moon being in its waxing crescent phase, it was a large moon very low in the sky. only a couple of stars were barley visible in the light night sky. upon glancing up in the sky two large oval bright white lights close together which seemed to be part of the same object travelled across the sky at tremendous speed. the lights travelling roughly in a direction between north to east at a relatively high and maintained altitude made no sound that i could hear and left no trail in the sky as you would expect from a comet or meteroid. observed for 1 to 2 the lights were at a consistent brightness before they were gone as though they had been switched off.
