I was on vacation with my spouse in a small town in Nova Scotia. The area has no street lights what-so-ever. Supposedly we saw on CBC news that within the week there would be meteor showers so every night we went to to watch the stars. I saw many shooting stars and satellites during this time. Two nights before my departure, August 16, 2009, we open the front door to see an incredibly bright neon green light in the sky race across the sky in a zig-zag pattern and vanished into the night sky. It was bright enough to immediately capture both of our eyes and stun any further movements from either one of us. The light was bright neon green, it left a tail as it moved in a zigzagged pattern. It was absolute silence, this area is forest and farm land. Also, it moved very very quickly yet in a "smooth" manner. It's acceleration seemed effortless to best describe this smoothness. It didnt jerk like a car would when you step on the gas pedal... it just slided. The event was scary enough that we were stunned and had a small discussion about not going out to watch the stars that night. I was not looking forward to an encounter!I've watched UFO Hunters on the History channel. I've had experiences with UFO events during my early childhood and I already had an interest in this but I never thought I would witness anything like this again in my lifetime.I shared this story with locals who have lived in the area their entire life and they have never heard of a green light in the sky and they were quite surprised/shocked. A military base is nearby but the locals are well aware of the air crafts and jets that fly in their skies. The person i spoke to in particular is building his own air plane so he was a credible person to talk to about flying green air crafts.
