at aprox 6:40 pm jan-30-14 I observed a dark red object with a light red almost orange halo pulsating in eastern sky headed south south-east toward orion's belt once it was almost to the belt it made a quick course change and headed almost due east and upward at aprox. 65-75 degree angle. due to very high altitude of object i estimate it's speed at 5000+ mph it headed off in said direction (away to east and up) till i could not see it any longer. I noticed an airplane at a normal altitude that seemed to head the same direction as if to observe the object. due to objects altitude the plane would not have been able to "pursue" this object (I'm sure it was in space or outer space). The object traversed 75% of the visible sky and made its way off into space too far to observe in less than 5 min (3 1/2-4 1/2 min by my estimation. while it would take a plane much longer. My father and I have seen a few objects, most far away but 2 closer and 1 a bit too close (we laugh about it now but at the time it rattled us a bit.) and we both have aviation experience this was no plane and I don't believe satellites hook a hard left. after the sighting I decided that enough was enough and it was time to make my first report to mufon (I plan to report all sightings I can't debunk from this point on). And there you have it. :) By the way we are both military vets and have people who can speak to our character and credibility. And my father just a couple years ago didn't believe or was up in the air so to speak about ufo's or craft but is now a firm believer and angry about the lack of truth from gov. I was 50-50 till an event triggered a memory from childhood and since then (quite a few years since) I have only seen a few things I could not debunk and even less that im sure or pretty sure were craft. (the childhood one was the most elaborate and dad remembers me running into his room freaked out)
