Witness Testimony

"On the evening of August 3rd 2014 approximately 11:10pm. My wife and I were driving on the New York State Thruway traveling southbound. We were between exits 21 and 20 (Catskill & Saugerties) when we both observed multiple orange lights high in the sky. Since I was driving, I was not able to stare, but my wife counted and estimated between 10 and 12 lights were present. The lights did not seem to be moving or blinking and were in kind of a vertical formation. I would describe it as 3 across, then go up one level then another 3 or 4, then up another level, and another 3 to 4 across. It was an impressive sight. Some cars were pulling off to the side to observe. I was tempted to pull off as well, but felt it was dangerous to do so on this high speed road."
