I was riding in the car with my boyfriend and our friend. My boyfriend was driving. I was in the passenger seat. I was just looking out the window when what I thought was just a regular light caught my eye. It was 2:30 in the morning. We were driving through the country and the only thing to obstruct our view was the trees. From a distance it looked like the light coming off of an old barn. Kind of an orange light. I saw it and tried pointing it out but the trees kept getting in the way. It had to have been miles away. We finally got a good view of it. It looked like the sun was shining through the clouds. Like how the sky and the clouds look during a sunset. That orangish color. It was shaped like a cloud and gave off the same light and appearance as one. But it would have been impossible for it to have been the sun shining through a cloud at 2:30 in the morning. It was not the moon either. It was long and thick. Not smooth. Almost puffy like a cloud. Slightly pointed at the ends where it seemed to get thinner. It was completely stationary. We saw it for a few minutes and then once we got a good view of it we slowed down and I took out my cell phone to take a picture of it. But as soon as I got my phone out it vanished. Completely disappeared. We did not see it vanish. It just happened instantly. The only thing around was radio towers but those have blinking red lights that are easy to point out. I've never seen anything like this before.
