Upon awaking this AM I noticed Circular doughnut shaped mark in freshly mowed grass with all of the grass bent in a westerly direction. The grass in the outer circle was completely clean of any clipping. The clippings on the east side of the circle were in a ridge along the outer perimeter of the inner circle. The clippings on the western side of the circle were in a ridge to the outermost area of the circle. The grass that formed the ridges was brown in color wail the rest of the grass in the area was a dry green as you would expect freshly mowed clippings to look like. The grass in the middle was undisturbed as and the clippings were still were the mower had discharged them. There is a 1 inch diameter puncture in the ground on the east side of the circle 5 inches outside the perimeter. Within the undisturbed center there is a rectangle depression where the grass has been flattened.Outside the circle and about 4 feet away there is a metal gear and plastic housing on the ground. These components were dislodged from the underground sprinkler system. Other than our foot prints leading up the the area there is no disturbances in the grass. No tracks leading to or leading away.At aprox. 1:15 in the Am of the 15th our Shepard wined and woke us up. My wife got up with her then came back to bed.
