I was at the shore front with my husband and sister-in-law. we were observing the moon and stars when we first noticed a bright white light and then a couple of seconds later observed what we thought was a plane but then realised it wasn't because it rose up and up with red, white and green flashing lights. the red lights were on 3 different points, it then went directly over our heads and we could see the lights more clearly. it made no noise. it went over the tree line and disappeared. 10 minutes later we saw and heard an airplane and we knew the object we saw before was not an airplane
