Was driving east on Rt 30 in Montgomery, IL with my wife and 2 yr old child. Looked to the Northern sky and seen two yellowish/orange fireballs floating in the sky. They appeared to be floating. They floated up, down, and to and from each other. I pointed them out to my wife and we both thought they were either ufo's or floating lanterns. After watching their movements, it was clear they were not floating lanterns, as they moved away from each other and came back to each other several times. We observed them for approximately 4 or 5 minutes before they faded or "burned out." They disappeared about 5 seconds apart. I kept watching the sky while driving but they never reappeared. This happened in the summer of 2011. I told my friend and family but no one believed me. I just read in my local newspaper that a local man recently observed ufo's in his area...a few miles away from wherei observed similar objects in 2011.
