I was on the back deck of our house looking at the stars, I was facing the north northwest, then as I was looking over the trees in our neighbors yard. I saw a very bright light that was moving towards the south southeast, I had seen several planes in different parts of the sky. On the other lights I saw the blinking beacon lights flashing, on this light there were not any blinking lights that I could see, that is what kept my attention. I watched as this light moved in a straight line for about five minutes, then as this light reached a bigger brighter light it seemed to just be absorbed by the bigger light. The bigger light I thought was a planet because it did not blink or seem to move, I had a complete and unobstructed view of this area of the sky. I looked everywhere in the area to see if I could see the moving light, but there was nothing. I came in the house to get my tablet to see if I could figure out what the bigger light may be, I had a star chart app on it, the app would show what I should be seeing in that direction at that time. When I got back out less than two minutes later that bigger light also had disappeared. After I stayed out a few more minutes, nothing unusual caught my eye so I came in and told my wife about my experience. I told her I wanted to come get her so she could see, but I could not leave that spot because I had to see what it did. I have seen unusual lights moving in very strange ways a few other times in my life, but this time I wasn't driving so I wanted to watch it as long as I could.
