I was at work taking a break. I work nights so it was about 2am. I was sitting on our bench having a cigarette when I noticed a bright light moving north to south at a good speed. I see aircrafts frequently because where I work there is a military base to the east and an airport to the south. I see planes almost every night. This one was different. I was very bright moving south but the lights looked strange. They seemed to be rotating around it no blinking transpondend lights and it was moving at a very good speed. I thought it was odd but didnt think much of it till it slowed and stopped. The lights around it were very bright. Orange yellow and red. Rotating. As I was watching I guess I could have counted to 5 and it reversed its path and went back the way it came from. Slowly at first but it then flew away so quickly it was a blur. Literally. Ive played this over in my mind and was trying to tell myself what I say was just something mundane. A plane a helicopter even a meteor. But that isnt what I saw. What it was I dont know but I felt compelled to tell what I saw. If this is something mundane and I was just seeing something ordinary please tell me and Im cool with that. Otherwise Im gonna keep watching the sky and keep asking...what if?
