For a few weeks I had started sleeping with my window cracked open at night because it had been getting pretty warm in my bedroom. One night I was awoke by what I can only describe as some sort of howling sound. But it wasn't any animal I've heard before and I don't live near the woods. It sounded as though it was right outside my window, I was too scared to look. I stayed awake for awhile and then fell back to sleep. The same sound happened again the next night at the exact same time, I can't recall the time now but I believe it was about 3:30 AM. This time I had to see what it was, maybe some kids playing pranks. I peeked through my current and there in the sky were three orangeish red lights flashing in some pattern. I watched it for a moment and then with the blink of an eye it was just gone. I thought for sure I must have just been seeing things as it was so early in the morning and I was tired. But that sound, the sound still gives me chills just thinking about it.
