It was back in the late 70's a friend and I were playing in my back yard. I was around 13 or 14 at the time...It was late at night when i looked up and saw this ball of light streaking across the sky...I figured it was just a meteor flying through the atmosphere but then shortly after seeing it, it then broke into 4 more pieces and formed a V shape and continued across the sky. I thought it quite odd that a meteor would do this but figured thats what it was and to this day not sure if thats what it was or if it was something different. It carried on for a brief while longer then disappeared. I have attached a crude drawing of what it started out as and then what it transformed into...probably was a meteor and you would beable to tell me but who knows...Thanks for your time....cheers
