Witness Testimony

"I was traveling to work at about 8:45 am on 295 headed south into portland, maine and saw a golden/white sphere just below the clouds. it was very bright and looked like it could be a mirror reflecting sunlight. the sun was covered by clouds, so the object stood out. it floated in place, i went around a bend and when i came back around it was gone entirely (maybe 3 or 4 minutes passed). i regularly see planes and helicopters in the area but the object did not look like either (although i could be mistaken and it could be a helicopter). it looked spherical and shimmered/glowed a white/gold color and remained perfectly still, it reminded me of a fishing lure but in the sky. it was very noticeable against the clouds that were a dark gray. i was surprised to see it over the harbor of portland in broad daylight, i assume other drivers nearby must've seen it as well. it wasn't a safe time or place to pull over and take a photo, otherwise i would have taken one."
