At midnight on 8/16 my girlfriend and i went outside for a smoke. i saw this orange light and immediately knew it wasnt a plane, satellite or a drone. i called her over so she could see it also. it was bright orange light that cast almost a solar flare type effect on my eyes. it was far away but closer than any other object of this nature. ive seen them in the past in my area as we are very rural with no city light pollution, nut none this close. it was hovering but moved up and down, left and right with no consistency such that i had to move around my yard to have a view of it (trees were blocking view with its movement). the speed of movement and degree of elevation changes could not be replicated with any known airplane, drone or satellite that im aware of. we took pictures and video with our cellphones but its nothing that could used as proof. we are thinking of investing in a telescope or some camera with clarity of zoom as this is the 2nd time we have seen anomalies like this.
