It was a typical spring night in central florida. both warm and dry as is normal for the climate in florida in late march. i had just stepped into the hot tub with my wife. the atmosphere was very clear and we both remarked at how well we could see the stars. as a side note for credibility i am an airbus captain for one of the 3 major airlines. i will not disclose the name of the airline for obvious reasons. i had been sitting down with my wife in our hot tub for about 5 minutes. i was looking into the southeastern sky as i normally do. out of nowhere an object was observed directly overhead moving quickly to the southeast ...More south than east. initially when i observed this object it would quickly be assumed that this was a satellite. there were was no strobe nor red beacon emanating from the object as you would normally observe with airline traffic. there was no sound either.....Less than 10 seconds later and 10 degrees to the right an object appeared to pulsate on and off about 4 times.. it was about the brightness of venus when it reached the peak of its brightest. this pulsating started about 10 seconds after the initial object i saw disappeared and i would say the pulsating lasted 30 seconds. the pulsating light from my point of view was about 45 to 55 degrees above the horizon in the direction slightly east of due south....About 165 degrees. what surprised me the most was the pulsating. i was so startled that i kept saying 'look at that' and my wife was worried our neighbors could hear us because i was nearly yelling. i have no idea what it could have been as i have never seen a star like object go on and off like that .
