Went to watch the perseid meteor shower on august 12, 2012 in the mojave desert where i lived with a friend. watched hundred of meteors come down. there was one small cloud in the sky, it started to light up in the pitch black with some kind of lightning. then an orange orb that was irradiating dropped down out of it and just sat there. i am a government scientist at china lake naval air weapons station asked me what in the fuck is that? is that something from the base? i said definitely no. i never believed in extraterrestrial life until that night. i moved back to ny where i grew up and there is too much light to view the perseid meteor shower.
