2 lights above Co.Durham U.K.Popped outside for a cigarette whilst at work with 2 colleagues (Consett, Co.Durham, UK), were looking up at sky as meteor shower and had seen 2 shooting stars. It was a very clear sky. As soon as I commented that sometimes I see stars that move then fade, I speculated that probably they were satelites or the iss, my friend mike said there's one and pointed. I looked up and saw two lights, one bright like venus and another like a regular star. They were moving slowly together. It looked like they could have been connected as if part of a craft as they seemed static to one another. As they moved across the sky the brighter one dimmed until it was about the same size and brightness as the other. They slowly travelled across the sky until they dissapeared out of view. As I said I have seen anomalies in the sky before which I assume are satelites and the like but this was different as two objects were travelling together, (as one?), and the sighting went on f! or approx 10 mins. I have seen chinese lantens before but these didn't look like lanterns , they appeared too connected and when they first appeared the brighter one , which was travelling behind the front one was extremely bright. the lights did not flicker.
