Red light swooping left and right over seaside park 11:30PM 10/19/12I was in SeaSide Park nj on Friday 10/19/12 at approximately 11:30 pm I was standing next to my truck looking up at the sky and flag pole at our hotel, hoping that the weather would turn a little nicer for my father and mine fishing trip. I saw a red object leave the ground area aproxamatly 2-3 miles away it went upward in a semi circle motion then the light either stopped or fadded away.A couple seconds passed when I started to think there was an airport over there, then I thought I never saw a motion or light so big from an air plane. No sooner the light reappeared it went left to right and up and down in a swooping motion more left to right then up and down. I watched for 1-2 minutes while rubbing my eyes and trying to focus on other things to make sure this is what it really is. Then it confirmed all questions running through my mind I was originally looking west over the barnaget bay when first spotted now the red light traveled south and east in my direction. It only seemed to take 8-10 seconds to travel 2-3 miles the light was heading directly at me getting bigger and brighter slowly these straight red lines appeared from each side I can only decribe them as laser pointers it was as if the light turned and tilted directly at me is when I saw these lines. Without any thought I turned and ran behind me looking back here and there it was going back also towards the original location. I quickly got my dad up who just laid down for bed, I yelled hurry up you have to come see this, I looked back outside and don't see anything I yell again hurry up. My dad put shorts and shoes on and ran out with me it was back and at its origanal location swooping left and right we both got to see it again for about 1 minute. It was gone, I got a video camera out of the truck I was ready this time for some video. I spent the next hour and a half looking but nothing happened. I have never seen anything strange in the sky before this, i am hoping I can find somebody else that saw it that night. I sure am glad that my dad got to see at least some of it, otherwise I would probably think I was absolutely crazy.
