Bright white orb traveling fast over Bel AirI was smoking a cigarette in my back yard around 130 am, about 2 hours ago, as I had my eyes fixed upon a certain area in the night sky. As I was looking in the sky a very bright light appeared from the area left of me behind the houses in my development. The object was an orb or ball shape about 1 or 2 miles away but in my line of sight and flying very low about the same height as a commercial jet would fly when traveling over city/populated region or en route to airport. The ball moved at a rate that no aircraft would possibly be able to travel, as I watched it for about 5-8 seconds it was extremely bright. The orb left no trail behind it nor did it disappear back into the atmosphere as a shooting star would. If I had a clear line of sight on the objects trajectory I would have been able to see its further path as the object vanished over the tree line.I did not jump to conclusions as to report UFO sighting right away, I have researched for the past 2 hours the meteor shower calendar and iridium flares, and I have discovered that the most recent shower was October 7 and 8th, also I considered the possibility of an Iridium flare from a satellite but after looking up the next scheduled flare, the time was yesterday October 12th at 8:30 pm for my area.OBJECT DESCRIPTION Shape: Circle/Orb Color: White/Similar to star but slightly whiter Speed: Not sure exactly but was much faster than any jet, helicopter, or manmade aircraft. Speed/Altitude ratio of the object could not be matched by any aircraft built by man in present day; I would know my family has many ex air force Trajectory: Somewhat diagonal but straight path, no evidence of slowed speed, constant path Environment: Clear sky, quiet no sound around me or from the object itself, I was able to see other stars in the sky as well and the North Star also,
