I came out onto the front porch to put some trash bags out. My wife and children were in the top bedroom by the windows. I saw the object as I glanced up toward the clouds. I at first thought it was a meteor as it appeared to be on fire, however I realized it was moving too slowly and also was under cloud level and flying in a straight line. It then stopped glowing and changed direction, it then changed direction again and flew off west. It made no sound at all and when it stopped glowing, it had no lights of any kind on it (ruling out an aircraft). Myself and family saw it the whole time and talked to each other about it - we still discuss it now. It went behind tree tops on the west of our property but appeared to maintain its height.
