While observing the transit of the X37-B in the skies above Cape Town, which was travelling from West to East overhead, travelling between the illuminations of the Moon and Jupiter. As the shuttle approached Orion, a fainter magnitude "star", stationary in the constellation Orion, suddenly approached the shuttle in an arc-shaped flight and circled the shuttle as it passed, it then followed the shuttle for a few seconds before veering off towards the South and fading from view over the horizon.
