I glanced at a star while outside on my deck. It appeared to move slightly so I looked directly at it. I moved so that I could line it up against a stationary object nearby (tree branch) and realized that it was indeed moving slightly. It seemed to move in a circular motion, stop, then move along a straight linear path in a westward direction, it reminded me of how a water bug glides across the survace of the water, but it was a slow movement. It did this repeatedly like a pattern so I assumed it was just a satellite. I looked directly up and did notice a satellite in a nother part of the sky (south heading north) and noticed it had a continual movement across the sky (did not pause or waver in its path at all) and looked much duller and farther away. I looked back too the other light and noticed it was still there, following the same pattern I observed previously. I have no idea how far away it was or how big/small it was as it appeared just like a star and it was a clear night. It was yellow/orange/white and "twinkled" just like a star as well. I went inside after watching it for a few minutes and nothing changing. An hour later I went outside again and it was still in the sky but much further to the west and at more of a 50-60degree angle to the horizon instead of a 70-80degree from where I first saw. It did not seem to decend or ascend or change it's pattern, just continued on across the sky in a straight line (except for when it paused and moved in the circular motion). I'm just curious as to what this could be.
