this happened to my wife and i, Friday Oct. 3, a little after 8pm.we were riding on our motorcycle traveling west on rt 2, just west of Chester mt.it's a 2 lane double yellow for miles. it was dark, we were alone on the road.we witnessed what looked like a falling star ahead and a little off to our right, but it was just weird. it seemed to fall in stages, as if three objects fell in the same trajectory, but at different times, and they lit up in different altitudes. the didn't look like an falling stars I'd ever seen before because they didn't get brighter as they would have if they were burning up. they were like pure colors or something. red/ blue/green- anyway we thought this was weird.we didn't know the half of it.so about 5 or 10 minutes later, we're riding along and my wife leans up and asks me if i see the "traveler", which is what we call moving objects in the night sky without red/green lights on the wingtips. just a white light. usually we assume these are satellites.I told her i did. it was about 50 degrees off the horizon, just off the road to the right from our line of sight. right in front of us. for kicks i said "watch this", and flashed my high beams from high to low. predictably, there was no response.so i tried it again, and the bright whit light ahead of us turned dim, and then brightened again! I was amazed!So i tried it again to be sure, blinking three times slowly, and sure enough it blinked back at a similar speed, three times!I flashed three times fast, and so did it! We initially were traveling about 70 mph, and by now we were going about 35, and this light is right above us. I couldn't see anymore because i was in control of the bike, but my wife was leaning back over the bike to see and it seemed to be over us for a LOOOONG while. she sat up to stretch and turned to look behind us and it was gone.we didn't see it leave.
