Strange blinking light over the Caribbean sea.My wife and I live on the outskirts of the capital city of Roseau Dominica in the West Indies. On Thursday August 15, 2013, around 7:45pm my wife called me outside to view a white fireball moving from the south of our location to the north rather slowly. Now my wife and I have seen a number of these objects over the past 2 years so this was not new to us. We observed this object for about 13 minutes and then it disappeared. I went back into the house but my wife stayed outside for a bit. About 5 minutes later she called me again to observe another fireball which appeared much closer to our location and this one was moving from the north of our location to the east. I got excited because we have never seen two in the same night. Right after this one disappeared we saw yet again another one which appeared almost overhead and it was moving towards the east. We were very very excited at this point and we continued looking for more but saw none. The following night we saw two but on the third night August 17th we observed something that we have never seen before. We were sitting on porch of our home facing west just having a conversation while we scanned the sky when I noticed a light come on and then go off in the sky. I did not make anything of it at the time but then after a while it happened again and then again a short time later. I turned to my wife and told her where to look for the light. As soon as it “blinked” I noted the time. It was 9:43pm. I took out my cellphone and activated the stopwatch application. I managed to time the blinks at 3 minutes apart exactly. We also noticed that this object was not over land but over the sea so it could not be a cellphone tower or anything of the sort. We noticed that the stars and the moon all moved across the sky but this object remained stationary. It did not move one inch and continued blinking every 3 minutes. We went inside at 12:11 am and the light was still bli! nking. On Sunday August 18th we tried to observe the light again but could not because of cloud cover. However, on Monday 19, we went outside at about 7:15pm with the intention of trying to observe that strange object again. We observed one fireball and about 9:33pm that light started blinking again every 3 minutes. We made the observation that it was affected by the clouds, in that when they came in the light would disappear and the reappear when the clouds moved away. Again, I know of no radio towers or otherwise which is constructed in the sea and reaches the clouds. We have observed this light for every night since and we were wondering if anyone has filed a similar report.
