Yellow fast moving object, west of Custer, MT / Did it land?I was outside, the time was 11:58 pm on June 24, 2013 I was looking west from the west shore of the Yellowstone river, Three miles west of Custer, MT. It was a clear night; I noticed a bright solid yellow/white light object coming out of the south. I would estimate its altitude as 6 to 8 thousand feet & traveling much faster than an airplane. It had no conventional marker lights as a plane or helicopter would display & there was no sound. I would estimate it to be ½ to ¾ miles away at this point. It made in less than 2 seconds a very rapid 90 degree turn to the west as it was passing to the west of me & traveled due west for about a mile. Suddenly it started a rapid decent showing no more forwards movement, came strait down & below my line of sight into the tree line. I noticed that its descent speed decreased, as it got closer to the ground The light intensity was the same the entire time I viewed the object. It was only about 30 seconds or less from the time I noticed the object coming out of the south, at say 45 degrees over the horizon to the point I lost sight of it. I watched for about five minuets & saw no activity. I then continued walking to my fishing site 10 minuets away to the west & never did see it again; trees now blocked my view.
