My mother, her friend and myself were traveling east on highway 49 in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. We had entered the park from the back side coming off of highway 54. We were traveling to Elk Mountain to meet a friend for a day hike and lunch. Only a few minutes into the park I noticed a bright object in the sky. It looked like a star because it was shining so bright, but was way to big to be a star. It was hovering below a the chem trail of a plane that was going by and seemed lower in elevation than the plane. I pointed to it as I was driving and said "What the heck is that?"My mother's friend in the back seat who has a loss of hearing didn't hear me but asked the same thing right after me. We all three were looking at wondering what we were seeing. It looked to me as if it was a little to the southeast of us, over Ft. Sill. We went around a curve and you could see it shining through the branches like the sun would do and when we got around the curve it was gone. Just vanished. We didn't any sign of it the rest of the day but the plane that was leaving a chem trail could still be seen. I know it was almost right on the dot around 11:00 AM, because my mother had commented I was driving too slow and we were going to be late meeting my friend. I looked at the clock and it was 11:00 and I told her not to worry because I told my friend to meet us at 11:15, so we had plenty of cushion time. It was right after this conversation I noticed the bright object in sky.
