I was in my backyard early in the morning when I looked up and saw a bright object high up in the atmosphere, star-like, but as bright as Sirius, moving straight up. It would spurt, slow down to almost a stop, then spurt up again. It did this about 6 times and was then just gone when I was looking at it. Its color changed from green to orange to yellow to red, not flashing but slowly changing from one color to the next. The sighting lasted from 20 to 25 seconds.
