Two (or possibly more than two) flashing lights observed near Dighi, Pune on 1 December 2014 between 5:30 PM and 5:45PM The two lights appear like bright incandescent lights , yellow colour like aircraft undercarriage lights, but there were 2 lights and the angle was 90 degrees to the regular runway approach path to Pune airport. I am an aviation enthusiast, so I know they could not be aircraft. The commerical flights approach the airport in a direction perpendicular to what the lights would be, if they were aircraft and the Pune airport does not have such frequent landings. Helicopters do not hover for so long, and they could not have been fighter afterburners either since I was close enough to hear fighters and a fighter with afterburners lit would move rapidly. Neither did they show any trace of rising from the ground to be fireworks, or balloons. The two lights moved slowly, vertically separated by probably 500 meters, the upper light slowly descends toward the lower light, sometime they merge and sometimes the lower light switches off and only the upper light shows where the lower light was, and a second light appears where the upper light was, sort of like a repeating pattern. Both lights disappear for a few minutes, then re-appear one by one, and much of the time you can see two light simultaneously, not moving horizontally but only vertically. At one point the lights did seem to change shape into vertical bars but mostly the shape is not easy to distinguish, they seem like spherical lights. And during the sequence, the upper light did move to the left of the lower light while still above, most of the time the vertical separation was slightly offset with the upper light a bit to the right.
