As I exited Kaluzhskaya subway station in Moscow on my way to another night shift at the office, I noticed a bright red object that was out of place in the night sky. It was as bright as Venus and appeared stationary. I'm very familiar with the night sky and was out of place. As I walked down the alley, I kept looking at the object. No apparent movements relative to stars during this time. Approximately 3 minutes after I first took notice of it, it started moving eastbound slowly. Within half a dozen seconds it started disappearing and a few seconds later was not visible anymore.I'm an aviation enthusiast and I'm certain that was not a plane or helicopter. As I got to work, I mentioned the object to my colleague who showed up about 10 minutes prior and walked down the same alley. He confirmed that he also took notice of the object, since it appeared out of place. He did not report any apparent movement.
