I was in my backyard using a believed contact method projecting tones into the airwaves. I looked over at the west mountain and there was a very bright flashing circle of light which was changing from red to white to blue. At first I thought it was another plane but as I kept watching it I was seeing it descend low to the ground then it moved right out of my view due to the housing complexes around then it came back and hovered for approx. 15 minutes which is when it descended again until I couldn't see it since my fence was in my way. I shined a red laser into the vicinity (carefully checking for any aircrafts beforehand of course) That is when it came back up but it was staying the EXACT same color of red just 500x brighter. It had stayed this color for about a full minute before it burnt out and when it came back to view it was flashing the lights again. The last thing I had seen was it dip back down out of view. Possibly landed? Kept my sights in that direction for the next hour.. Never noticed it leave.
