Witnessed a B-747 flying overhead while going to get my mail. Noticed what looked like a hawk flying perpendicular to and behind the aircraft but also realized that the 'hawk' was flying much higher than any bird could achieve and against the wind but moving much more rapidly.Observed the object further and watched it move to the North, slow down, stop in mid-flight/air, and then quickly descend and move to the East. As it moved to the East, and as it gained speed, it faded and disappeared.I immediately pulled up flightaware data upon getting back inside my house and found the aircraft I had initially heard and looked at, and that snapshot is attached for reference.I am a pilot, and what I witnessed was much different from anything I've seen before... It made no sense to me. Thus, my filing.
