I was on my way to pick up a family member from work at 11:00pm, when I first saw the object. I noticed it because it was so bright in comparison to the surrounding stars. With a very bright moon, all other stars were washed out. When I first spotted it, my first thought was Jupiter. It was soon obvious it wasn't Jupiter when it began moving from East to West, towards me. I got the impression it was descending, but I've no way of verifying that, since the size didn't change appreciably. Since I was driving, and there was some traffic, I couldn't keep my eyes fixed on it, but when I could, it was very obviously moving across the sky. When I pulled into the parking lot, I got out and looked for it, it was gone. So it was either very low, small, and fast; or high and even faster. I saw no further sign of it after that...Feeling? Rabid curiosity. I've no idea what it was/is. Don't ask me how I know, but it just didn't seem like an airplane. There are two airports within the area of Walla Walla and College Place. Walla Walla Regional Airport, and Martin Field in College Place. In my opinion, there's little chance it was an airplane landing at either. At my last vision of it, it was headed generally directly west.
