On a fishing trip at touchwood lake in the lakeland provincial rec. area in alberta east of lac la biche two friends and i were heading to camp and admiring the night sky which was very clear that night. i spotted a light that was like a satellite or iss but didn't move across the sky, it remained stationary while the light itself flashed. one friend pointed out that it seemed more like a lighthouse than a flashing beacon, the light didn't flash it seemed to dim out and in as if it were rotating. after a few seconds of watching this thing a few smaller red lights started to appear distant from the first light but all 'flowing' toward it and disappearing when getting close to it as if being absorbed. we watched this for a few more seconds and then headed back to camp realizing that we had nothing with us to take a decent photo or video. much of the rest of the night around the fire was spend discussing what we just saw and joking that the invasion had begun.
