I went out to watch the fireworks at midnight on new years only to see this bright ball of orange light to the north in the sky. i called out for my family to come take a look and observed it move west a short distance then back to the east. i retrieved a pair of binoculars to get a better look and watched it move until it seemed to fade into nowhere. i've been periodically checking to see if it has returned but have not seen anything since about 12:10am on 01/01/2017. it's quite perplexing and i only thought of one possibility which lead me to contact idaho mufon.
