I was coming from shopping, i saw it directly in front of me, stationary, about 100 feet above the horizon. as i continued,i realized it was much higher as i drove under it. i stopped the car to get a picture, and when i got out, it was gone. visibility was about 3 miles in any direction. it was nowhere to be seen. it was not on the ground, not in another direction, not higher up. just gone. at first i thought it was a huge balloon, but it was luminous, and didn't appear to be tethered. it was completely still. the wind was out of the south at about 15 mph, but it was motionless. it looked like an enormous pearl. how did i feel? i felt like i was looking at something unusual.
