Orange orb sighting at night that lasted about 5 minutes in Madison, Wisconsin.The sighting took place at approximately 9:45pm on July 3, 2016 in Madison Wisconsin.I have never seen a UFO before but I sighted this one because I was looking for early firework displays. Also, the night was particularly dark and visibility was crystal clear. I could see several bright stars and at least two planets.While outside, I was enjoying constellations that I don’t normally see because the night sky was so dark that night. I saw what I thought was a planet until I noticed that it was moving.It was an orange orb which was slowly moving across the sky. I don’t believe it was a paper lantern that someone let go to celebrate the holiday because it was a perfect circle with a steady orange glow. It stayed at the same altitude and speed as it flew over my head. There was no sound.Since I was hoping to record a fireworks display, I had my camera ready to use. I was able to film the orb from when I first notice it moving until it began quickly accelerating straight up until it went out of site. There were no flashing lights, so it was not an airplane.Unfortunately, the recording showed no details and would not make good evidence. I need to get a better camera for next time.
