I took my dog out for a walk at eleven pm. once i crossed the road and walked along a side road i looked up at the clear night sky. there were what i assumed were two stars clearly visible, about 40 degrees in the sky from where i was walking, but i noticed that it looked like they were moving apart. i stopped and watched. one star, it looked like a star, i looked for it the next night, and it was there in the same position, stayed stationary, while the other object that appeared to be another star, glowing white, appearing to be the same size as the star it was moving away from, moved away from it heading se on a horizontal path. it moved se on a horizontal path at a pace that seemed about twice as fast as a jetliner moves when observed from the ground. it was headed se on a horizontal path towards the moon, there was a kind of glow around the moon, and when the moving object moved into the area where the glowing halo of the moon ended the object vanished. i stood there for a moment to see if i could see any trace of it. the next day the entire west coast of newfoundland experienced a mass cell phone and internet disruption, including some land lines. not all cell carriers or internet providers were affected, but enough to warrant news reports, especially about calling emergency services. disruption ended by late afternoon that day.
