While sitting on my porch intentionally observing the eastern sky after seeing multiple dark flashes of airborne objects and a solid small sphere-shaped object in the sky(thought to possibly be a planet)the evening before, i observed an elongated triangle/spear-shaped object momentarily appear in the sky. the apex of the object pointed south and gave off a very bright "flash-bulb" star shaped glint. the north "base" end appeared to have two dark box-like areas on that end. it appeared to be at an altitude (rough guestimate)of 1200-2000ft(about the height of a military plane that would be dropping paratroopers). its size was somewhat larger than a fighter jet seen at the same position. the glint quickly brightened and then the object disappeared. it was visible for no more than 2sec. there was no noise which of course with it being the 4th of july, i would expect if it was a firework. there was no engine noise either. the object was physical and for a moment i realized i had seen something that i didn't recognize with all my past experience. even though i was trying to see a recurrence of the unsubstantiated dark aerial objects again, i did not expect to see it. surprised and a little un-nerved. my house is on the 21/22 degree heading approach path for planes landing at detroit metro. i see a lot planes flying over. this was not a plane. the closest comparison i can come up with is a satellite re-orienting its solar panel since the sun was at a lower evening angle. dan, i apologize, didn't look that up. i didn't have a camera with me because i wasn't sure if i could get good quality images because the spots were so fleeing and, of course, i didn't expect to see reported anomaly.
