Witness Testimony
"Whilst out for a walk with 2 of our dogs in a remote area of the island, with no light pollution or close properties at approximately 8.35pm last night we witnessed what initially appeared to be a bright "star" moving from the horizon high above the cloud cover from across the north sea, towards our location. travelling from a e direction (which would come from the norway side) it was a mixed night with very clear skies - almost a full moon, and intermittent hail/rain showers from dispersed clouds very high up . we were aware of this "star" moving towards us as the cloud cover began to disperse but initially dismissed it as a "star" being extra visible in the clear sky. a hail/sleet shower had just ended and we were a bit annoyed that we were soaked through! we quickly realised that this "star" was indeed moving towards our location and as it came closer we could see that there was not only 1 bright "light" but several. we initially identified that there were 3 points of very bright light in a perfect equilateral triangle shape, moving very high in the sky directly towards us - as it came closer we were then able to identify that this triangle object was also accompanied by two smaller "triangle" shaped objects (they also had the same light formations). both smaller craft were 1/5 - 1/6th (approx) size of the largest craft. at times the 3 shapes came to a complete stop, and appeard to suspend motionless in the night sky and then they quickly started to move again on the same flight path at a constant speed. as the 3 shapes passed directly above us in the night sk, the moon was covered and it was very dark - at this point my husband shone our powerful military torch (which has 1000000 lumens of light) upwards directly toward the shapes in the sky, and switched the stobe effect onto the torch point of light " to communicate" with them. although he did this in a joking manner the ships appeared to slow down but we couldn't see any reflections form the torch. i told him not to be silly and he switched it off as we watched. at the precise moment he switched off the torch, the environment became very bight due to the clouds moving away from the moon, and he initially thought it was the ship "shining" a light at us but it was indeed the very bright moon and a very clear sky. whilst the moon was shining its light it fully illuminated the dark environment we stood in with the dogs, and at this point the shapes were almost directly above to our right side - we could clearly see the difference in colour of the biggest object - it looked a very slate matte grey colour in our vision, very different from the sky backdrop. it appeared to block out the colour behind it. we couldn't see any colour on the two smaller shapes. the shapes all moved in perfect synchronised movements, perfect distance from one another and perfect speed, slowing down and moving in perfect harmony with one another. we watched as the shapes moved off and away from us (we had completely turned around at this point to face in the opposite direction that we originally stood) we following their path until we couldn't see them anymore in the distance. notes: there was no sound. the lights on the triangles were all a constant white colour & shape. in terms of size, the largest ship was massive, its hard to gauge actual size when the distance is straight up into night sky, as there are no points of visual reference for the eyes or brain to estimate sizes - but it was giant in comparison to the smaller shapes. when we have watched jets or flights pass over in the skies above us, observing their lights etc ( you can estimate their altitude of approx 30k feet) with this in mind, this large shape was about 30+ times bigger than a large jet flying at a higher altitude. its sheer size was quite astonishing considering there was no noise, it was flying fast, covering a large distance on a very specific path. the whole experience from being aware of the moving "star" above horizon to watching them pass over and away out of sight, took approximately 6-7 minutes. we watch the night skies frequently as we live in an area where the aurora and stars are very visible with little light pollution, we walk in this area at least once a day in the evening with our dogs as its quiet, we have never witnessed anything like this before in this location.
